MN DNR Hunter Safety, Range and Field Training Day

All paperwork must be turned in on Saturday, October 2nd to ensure your enrollment. Parent or guardian must come in person with the following:
1) Self addressed stamped envelope;
2) Copy of child(ren)'s birth certificate (students MUST BE age 11 or older before the course starting date);
3) Check for $15 made out to "South Metro Training";

For directions to the site, click here. Avoid using Google, Mapquest, etc., or a GPS system. These programs do not recognize the HWY 169 Frontage Road, and you WILL be sent in the wrong direction!
Course Summary
This program is required to fully complete the MN HunterExam On-Line program. A printed Range and Field Day Vouceher from HunterExam must be provided for each student attending. Students who successfully complete the Range and Field Day course will receive a MN DNR Firearms Safety Hunter Education Certificate.
Highlights of the program include:
- Six hours of scenario based field training and testing at South Metro Public Safety Training Facility including live firing of .22 caliber rifles at our indoor range.
- A variety of training and skills demonstrations in hunting and safety related subjects, e.g., firearms transportation and safe handling, tree stand safety demonstrations, small/big game hunting scenarios, survival and compass skills and decision making exercises.
- Skilled instructors and an excellent student to teacher ratio.
MAXIMUM OF 20 PER SESSION. THIS SESSIONS WILL FILL QUICKLY! ONLY COMPLETED PAPERWORK AND PAYMENT WILL SECURE SPACE FOR YOUR CHILD(REN).
